We'd like to invite you to our third monthly gathering, Thursday 3rd June at the Duke of Gloucester. We want to create a place for Christians from all churches (or none) in the area to meet up and socialise while discussing some of the really thorny issues of the faith in a friendly way. If you'd like to come then we'd love to see you at 8pm, either tomorrow or another week - it will be on the first Thursday of each month.
We are continuing our series titled Divided we fall? which explores the issues that Christians often fall out over. This time we'll discuss whether living things were created supernaturally by God or whether they evolved naturally by Darwinian selection, or maybe somewhere in the middle.
There won't be a talk or anything like a sermon, but we'll provide a sheet of thought-provoking quotes and scriptures to help get conversations flowing. I've attached the quotes to this email so you can have a look beforehand, or if you can't come but are interested anyway! There should be something in there that you can agree with and disagree with; let's unravel it together.
