Keep a journal of times in your days when you do find God. This could possibly take the form of a gratitude journal, where you make a habit of each day writing down three things that you are grateful for that happened that day. As well as your own personal journal please feel free to leave comments here so that others can share your experiences.

My good mood balloon was deflating.
Kitty had just slept through my favourite toddler group of the week, I'd read an article about a lady moaning because her child couldn't eat gluten (try a child who can only eat 6 foods in total) and the chemist had told me that they would be unable to get hold of Kitty's 'magic' cream for a few weeks. I was pushing the buggy home, wondering what to do to fill the next few hours.
But as we crossed the bridge over the by-pass, we saw something lovely. A whole herd of cows were also crossing the bridge on the other side of the road, going from one field to another.
I stopped the pram and we watched in delight as the cows, plodding steadily past us with their huge udders swinging, stopped in turn to look at us with their gentle brown eyes.
It was a moment of pure joy, like the sun coming out from behind clouds. Who cared about eczema creams and toddler groups? Here were 50 cows performing a catwalk show, just for the two of us.
I wondered how the cows knew to move fields; what was driving them. I expected a man with a stick or something noisy to scare them into motion. So I was surprised to see, at the end of the bovine procession, a small teenage boy and a dog. No stick, no noisy scary thing.
Just a boy walking quietly and gently behind the herd, making sure that every cow got across the bridge safely and that none were left behind.
