This month's film is Juno - a comedy about a teenager who gets pregnant. It is supposed to be very engaging and life-affirming. Thursday 23rd April, 7.30.

Sounds good! Will see if Mum is up for babysitting and if so I'll be there.
Fantastic film! (Just watched it to check its 'suitability' for the group.)
It's not as girly or teeny as you might imagine; in fact, it's quite dark and not unlike American Beauty in feel. That said, the folky soundtrack and emotional bits do make it feel a bit like Dawson's Creek (but without the added sugar!)
It throws up some interesting questions including those related to teen pregnancy, abortion, relationships, marriage, divorce and adoption, not to mention the mystery of the teenage mind.
But warning to anyone who's given birth: you will cry. (But perhaps that's just me - I blubbed like a baby at Finding Nemo after all...)
